The 8th ELC Cohort, the Holy Team, completed the Kingdom Vision course, led by Dr. Augustine Suh and Pastor Kevin Albright. Through the Kingdom Vision course, the students saw God’s reign and vision in Christ. They were convicted to live and serve ministry in light of God’s kingdom.
The second course focused on essential theology based on the Apostles’ Creed, studying the Church’s tenets and learning sound doctrines for personal and communal faith and witnessing. They began their third class on Ministerial Person, led by Pastor Greg Lewis and Dr. Paul Chung.

The 7th ELC Gospel Team completed their leadership course. They saw how God raised Biblical leaders despite their weaknesses and failures, identified the kind of leader they aspire to grow as, and developed leadership practices aligning with Biblical values and principles. They also learned to recognize specific changes needed to live as leaders in their own context, committing to small decisions that have significant impact. Their next course is evangelism, led by Little Sarah and Pastor Kevin Albright. Please continue to pray for them to grow in the knowledge and grace of our Savior and Lord and to be better equipped as ministers of Christ.

Theme (Title): God and His Reign
Total Participants: 7
The ELC Holy Team of seven men met for two hours online for their first meeting (2/1/25) and shared briefly about themselves and their visionary goals for the program. They vary in age (23-54), years in UBF, and marital status (4 married, 3 single). Three are in Lagos, Nigeria: Isaac O. and Akangbe M. from Unilag, and Josiah A. from Medilag. Another Nigerian, Bolaji O., is ministering at UIUC. Two Americans, Robert M. (Chicago) and David H. (Triton), and one Canadian, Joshua K. (Montreal), round out the team. They have begun Course 1, “God and His Reign,” which will examine the Biblical theme of the kingdom of God and focus on Kingdom vision over a period of five weeks. Pray for these eager disciples to grow as shepherds for this generation and blessings for Nigeria, Canada, the USA, and the world!
