By Dr. Augustine Suh
The Pan Africa Cohort (PAC) intensive seminar was held successfully, and we thank and praise God for richly blessing this time of learning, fellowship, and vision?shaping. Ten African chapter directors attended in person, with two additional leaders joining online. Through the hospitality of Pastor Juma Fuchingo, God provided an optimal environment for focused study and meaningful dialogue.
From December 14–16, participants engaged in seven workshop sessions. Together, we explored the biblical understanding of the church as the family of God, the body of Christ, the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, and the Kingdom community. We also examined essential elements of a living church and ministry, and addressed practical issues relevant to the African UBF context. Despite the intensive schedule, the chapter directors participated with passion, depth, and unity. In every session, we prayed earnestly for God to build and strengthen Christ–centered, missional church communities across Africa.
Dr. Augustine Suh delivered the main presentations and facilitated seven workshop sessions, supported by significant contributions from Missionary Mark Yoon and Pastor Ron Ward. Missionary Mark offered timely insights and wisdom drawn from his many years of missionary service in Africa, enriching the discussions with his experience and perspective. In the final session, after leaders presented their capstone project, Acts 29, Pastor Ron delivered a vision message and concluded the seminar with a Spirit?filled commissioning prayer.
This in?person intensive seminar proved to be an indispensable and deeply enriching component of the PAC program. We pray and believe that God will use our African leaders to build Christ?centered, missional communities throughout the continent, and that Africa will continue to rise as a missionary?sending continent for the world. Amen.
