“Keep Your Lamps Shining Brightly” was a Women Encouraging Women cohort which started September 2025 and completed January 2026. It ran twice monthly for nine sessions and had 22 women leaders serving in the UBF ministry for 10+ years from five countries (USA, Canada, India, Malaysia, and Taiwan). The cohort was co-led by Pastor Abraham and Dr. Liz Lincoln. In between, women met with small group leaders (Liz Hembekides, Grace Sun Lee, Kathy Vucekovich, Esther Chang, Yvonne Lee, and Susan Lewis).
The course was based on the parable of the 10 virgins, and the aim was to learn Biblical principles of overcoming faith in a practical format with support from like-minded women. UBF women often have to juggle multiple responsibilities and exhaustion is common. In this course, women learned to take a fresh look at timeless truths of the Word of God related to trust, rest, and grace to grow more in shalom, joy, and our love relationship with Jesus, our source of strength for life and ministry.
Women stated that they would highly recommend this course and that their faith in Christ was strengthened through it. Some comments received: “This strengthened my faith and confidence in living as a female spiritual leader in our ministry“ and “Thank you for your labor in the Lord to build up UBF women in ministry, many of whom are in small chapters. Through the final testimonies, I could see how God used this cohort so preciously in each of the participants’ hearts and lives.” We’re thankful for God’s blessing on this cohort and our women in ministry.
