Emerging Leaders Cohort Gospel (7th team) finished the “Walking by the Spirit” course from September to October 2024, facilitated by P. Teddy Hembekides and P. Joshua Hong.
This course explored the ministry of the Holy Spirit, focusing on how Christians are called to live by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 25) rather than the flesh. It covered the relationship between Christ’s work and the Spirit’s role, the challenges believers face, and the Biblical path to victory. While not exhaustive, the course emphasized dependence on the Spirit in alignment with God’s will. Materials Used included Finished Work of Christ by Francis A. Schaeffer, Keep in Step with the Spirit by J.I. Packer, and The Holy Spirit by Derek Prince (Video). Students (ELC Gospel) worked on key themes, including (1) Work of Christ and the Holy Spirit (by Dylan and Josephine); (2) Christ-Centered Works of the Spirit (by David and Grace); (3) Walking by the Spirit (Victor and Daniel). The course emphasized the Spirit’s role in guiding, empowering, and transforming believers. Students grew in awareness of the Spirit’s presence and learned to listen to and obey Him, leading to Christ-like living and bearing the fruits of the Spirit.
We praise God for granting us a living hope in the kingdom through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Because of his great mercy, we want to continue to provide training programs and relevant courses to empower disciples for Kingdom impact, equipping lay ministers, professionals, and full-time shepherds. Please continue to pray for us to serve our calling with the living hope in the living God, Christ’s love, and the power of the Spirit.
