Vision
Christian leaders for the emerging generation
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
• To equip emerging ministry leaders to be effective disciples and disciple-makers especially as campus ministers
• Personal spiritual growth as disciples: biblical and doctrinal foundation, personal relationship with God
• Christian leadership: developing Christlike disciple-makers through healthy Christian practices
• Pastoral care: fostering compassion and wisdom to shepherd those in need
TARGET GROUP
Emerging ministry key leaders who are:
• Disciples with a solid Bible study history and the desire to serve Christ’s mission, especially campus ministry
• Post-graduates with shepherding experience
• Recommended by their chapter leader
Principles of Discipleship
• The Cohort emphasizes fundamental aspects of Christian life and discipleship: Triune, relational, and holistic.
• Tribune: To grow and live out the grace of participating in the kingdom of the triune God: God-glorifying, Christ-centered, and Spirit-filled.
• Relational: To develop the relational aspects of Christian life with God, within the church, and in the world.
• Holistic: To develop a person’s whole life and ministry as we perceive the need for a broader understanding of salvation and God’s mission.
Biblical Doctrine Curriculum Overview
• Each ELC program consists of 20 relevant topics.
• Each course requires about 3 hours of work per week, in addition to a 2-hour meeting roughly every other week. Each course lasts 5-8 weeks.
• Sessions are facilitated by about 20 UBF staff/leaders in North America
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
• A grade point average of 2.7 or above is required for graduation.
• A graduate ministry project for the ELC program is required.

About the Application Process
Each cohort consists of 5-8 members. The program committee makes announcements for recruiting a new team each year. During the application period, applicants for ELC are to submit the online ELC application form, life testimony (3-5 pages), and recommendation letter from their chapter directors. Usually, the application deadline is October 31 each
year.
After the student submits the application and supporting documents, the ELC committee reviews the documents and confirms the completion of each applicant’s file. The application process involves an interview with the program committee.
Admitted applicants will receive cohort orientation information, and all applicants will be notified of their admission status by email.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION
• Annual tuition for full-me students in a ministry $300/year.
• Churches with enrolled full-me students are asked $300/year.
• The chapter of members can help with the costs if needed.
