Women Encouraging Women
Women are pillars of God’s church and kingdom.
STATEMENT ON THE ROLE OF WOMEN:
Women are pillars of God’s church and kingdom.
VISION:
To encourage and edify established and emerging women leaders so they can flourish
and effectively participate in the expansion of Christ’s kingdom and the edification of his
Church.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Nurture healthy personal growth in Christ through sound Biblical doctrine
2. Nurture Christ-like leadership
3. Develop deep redemptive friendships
4. Facilitate member care
WEW TEAM:
Currently, we are blessed to have a group of Christ-centered, seasoned women who
have a huge heart of compassion for our UBF women
WEW TRACK/WORKSHOP FORMAT:
- Cohort size: flexible
- Preparation for meetings may be required and may entail reading a book,
watching a video, or answering (reviewing) discussion questions.
Specific future topics will be suggested by the women in the cohort. Also, we may
switch gears during the progress of a cohort if the women show an interest in
spending more time on a particular topic.
- Flexible length: we have found the sweet spot to be either every other Saturday
for 8 weeks or six consecutive weeks.
TARGET GROUP:
Women leaders with solid Bible study who desire to serve Christ’s mission
FACILITATORS:
UBF staff, lay leaders or invited guests
*Any seasoned UBF member who has a passion for women’s ministry and women’s
needs is invited to propose a topic and lead a course that will then be vetted by the
WEW committee.
