Biblical Doctrine 1
Christian leaders are responsible for understanding the Christian faith in relation to biblical foundations and for expressing their understanding in today’s context. They need not only to believe in the gospel but also seek to understand it for themselves and properly communicate it to their congregation and people. For this purpose, while we study the Bible book by book and chapter by chapter, we also seek to have a solid grip on Biblical faith based on the entire Bible and so to be firmly grounded in sound doctrines.
This course provides gospel workers with a sound understanding of biblical faith based on biblical and evangelical theology. We discuss and reflect on the tenets of the church based on the Bible arranged by topics. This will equip Bible teachers with sound biblical-theological foundations of faith. This course (Biblical Doctrine 1) covers the doctrine of God and the doctrine of Humanity. Some crucial questions we are dealing with include: How do we know God? How are we to understand the Trinity and what is its significance? Why, how, and when did God create the universe? What does it mean that God made us like himself? What is sin? What are biblical covenants, and why is it critical to understand them?
Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to: Demonstrate their understanding of Christian faith regarding central topics of Scripture such as the Triune God, Creation, the Image of God, Sin, and Covenant; Discuss a given topic critically based on biblical and evangelical theology; Have more confidence in Bible teaching and Bible message preparations.
