UBF Shepherdology
A shepherd is a person who knows the good Shepherd Jesus personally and emulates Him all his life in every aspect of ministry and life. Since founding our UBF church, shepherding has been one of the most essential aspects of our church and ministry. Through this course, we will learn various aspects of shepherding from the UBF founders and UBF senior shepherds and reflect on UBF shepherding principles and practices from biblical and historical perspectives. We will study the Biblical basis and model of shepherding God himself established in Scripture, by which we may evaluate our practices, experiences, and traditions. Then, we want to integrate these threads with our own story to compose our own theory and practice of shepherdology in our context. There are three dimensions to this course: (1) UBF Shepherding tradition: vision, history, and subjective experience; (2) Biblical basis and model of shepherding; and (3) personal reflection, evaluation, and integration.
