Spiritual Warfare

Jesus instructed us to pray, “Your kingdom come...on earth as it is in heaven.” When we pray the Lord’s prayer and heed His call, we are actively engaging in spiritual warfare. As stated in Ephesians 6:12, “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” This course is intended to equip the disciples of Jesus for spiritual battle against Satan, the world, and the flesh. Central to this mission is understanding our identity in Christ Jesus, the warfare worldview, and practical tools for the battle.

In spiritual warfare, we are not to fight for victory but from the place of victory that Jesus has already won on the cross. This requires no physical weapons like rifles or missiles nor martial arts skills. Instead, what we need is a firm grasp of the gospel truth found in the Bible. This Spiritual Warfare course is designed to impart this gospel truth: that Christ has secured our victory and that we are endowed with His authority and spiritual armor. Throughout the course, participants will learn how to use this armor effectively in ministries of deliverance, discipleship, and growth.
