Theology of Mission

DESCRIPTION: Mission is not intended to be an option for just a few Christians. Mission is God’s love for the world and the very nature of God at the very heart of the Trinity. God is a missional God who acts missionally by preceding, shaping and sending the church into the world. UBF ministry has been missional, sending many cross-cultural missionaries to the world. However, we still need to understand more deeply what God’s mission means to us and how we can carry it out more effectively. We need to revise and improve our missional practices to be more fruitful for the glory of God. This course covers the following topics: (1) missional ecclesiology, (2) cultural issues for mission, and (3) missional leadership. Our goal is to equip our leaders and churches to be missional and fruitful for the glory of God.
