Program Overview

Emerging Leaders Cohort

“Go and make disciples!” (Matthew 28:19)

“To be conformed to the image of Christ” (Romans 8:29)

“Entrust to reliable people” (2 Timothy 2:2)

The Emerging Leaders Cohort program (two and a half years) was developed to provide HQ-level education and discipleship for key emerging leaders of UBF chapters in North America and around the world. It provides a platform where key leaders meet with senior staff/leaders to build up relationships, learn and grow in God’s word, and embrace God’s vision for the future of UBF. ELC is a program that provides support and enhancement for the disciple-raising ministries of the UBF chapters.

Principles of Discipleship

The Cohort emphasizes fundamental aspects of Christian life and discipleship: Triune, relational, and holistic.

  • Triune: To grow and live out the grace of participating in the kingdom of the triune God: God-glorifying, Christ-centered, and Spirit-filled

  • Relational: To develop the relational aspects of Christian life with God, within the church, and in the world

  • Holistic: To develop a person’s whole life and ministry as we perceive the need for a broader understanding of salvation and God’s mission
